My problem is that i can not load wallet with my wallet.dat file from end of 2017. In meantime i upgraded PC and got new windows, but i didnt do anything to bitbay folder/wallet on secondary hard drive where it was used last on Oct 2017. I am not sure

When i replace my wallet.dat backup file from 2017 i get error in latest bitbay wallet and the one i installed in 2017.

Error is: Wallet.dat corrupt, salvage failed

Matej,

The Client does not use the wallet.dat to load up private keys.
Only the QT wallet uses wallet.dat to store private key.

When you create your account for the Client, it asks you to save your private keys to the computer. It actually forces you to save the keys to computer before it will allow you to create an account. So they should be on your computer somewhere.

Do a search for files with .private extension

Let me know if this helps
